The Ranking System
Your standing with each faction progresses through five ranks:

| 4 | Master | Accumulated faction points + FP investment |

Earning Faction Points
Points accumulate through:
- Completing faction-aligned scenarios
- Making choices favoring faction interests
- Contributing resources to faction objectives
- Long-term demonstration of loyalty

Echo Collective Reputation
Beyond the four major factions, your standing within the Echo Collective itself affects capabilities.
Key differences:
- Rises and falls passively based on operational activity
- Cannot be directly invested in—earned through consistent excellence
- Provides bonuses to Intelligence, Social, and Diplomacy skills

Beyond specific factions, your overall alignment shifts based on cumulative choices:
Pro-Centopoly indicators:
- Supporting Metric authority
- Favoring stability over freedom
- Assisting Mercantile Alliance or Centopoly officials
Anti-Centopoly indicators:
- Aiding Cypher distribution
- Favoring individual freedom
- Assisting Scions or Cypherian contacts
This broader alignment affects:
- Echo Interface stability in different regions
- Which characters trust you
- Available mission paths
- Long-term story outcomes
Strategic Approaches
Balanced: Moderate standing with all—maximum flexibility
Primary Alliance: Deep investment in one faction for maximum benefits
Coalition: Strong relationships with two complementary factions
Mercenary: Accept opportunities based on immediate benefit, minimal commitment
