What Is an Operator's Pass?​

An Operator's Pass is required for each character you create. It grants access to the full game experience—missions, crafting, marketplace trading, and rewards.

Think of it as your operative's authorization to participate in Echo Collective operations.

What the Pass Provides​

Full Gameplay Access​

  • Narrative missions: Story-driven operations with meaningful choices
  • Combat operations: Command forces in territorial warfare
  • Intelligence gathering: Numbers broadcasts, agent communications, SIGINT
  • Cognitive training: Confluence, TriDyak, Chronotrate

Economic Participation​

  • Crafting: Create equipment and items
  • Marketplace access: Buy and sell items with other players
  • Blockchain minting: Mint crafted items to the Ronin blockchain
  • Trading: Full marketplace functionality

Rewards & Airdrops​

A percentage of Operator's Pass fees are reserved for rewards airdrops:

  • Airdrops are delivered to operatives with active Attractors
  • Attractor delivery is odds-based—owning Attractors gives you chances at rewards
  • Active passes are required to receive airdrops

Early Adopter Benefit: Players who purchase 6-month or 1-year passes during the first launch year receive a lifetime discount on all future pass renewals, merchandise, and Legends of Cypher products and services.

One Pass Per Character​

Each character requires its own Operator's Pass:

  • Pass is tied to a specific character, not your wallet
  • Multiple characters means multiple passes
  • Passes cannot be transferred between characters

If Your Pass Expires​

When a pass expires, your account enters a dormant state:

What's preserved:

  • Your reputation and faction standings
  • Your inventory and owned assets
  • Your progression history and decisions
  • Any blockchain-minted items remain in your possession

What's suspended:

  • Active gameplay (missions, combat, intelligence ops)
  • Marketplace trading
  • Crafting capabilities
  • Airdrop eligibility

Reactivation: Purchase a new pass to immediately restore full access. All your progress remains exactly as you left it.

  1. Connect wallet — Link your wallet to Legends of Cypher
  2. Purchase Operator's Pass — Select your duration
  3. Create character — Choose faction and roll avatar
  4. Begin operations — Full access activated

The pass purchase happens before character creation—you need authorization before you can create an operative.

Frequently Asked Questions​

Can I play without a pass? No. The Operator's Pass is required for active participation. Without it, you cannot access gameplay systems or the marketplace.

What happens to my items if my pass expires? All items remain yours. Blockchain-minted assets stay in your wallet. In-game inventory is preserved and accessible when you reactivate.
